Inspiring Our Future Workforce
JA JobSpark is more than a career fair: It brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch middle school students into their future high school, college, careers and beyond.
Junior Achievement’s in-depth career exploration program for students offered at no cost to you. The program is a real-world way to envision future career opportunities. It consists of three segments: 1) in-class sessions presented by the classroom teacher; 2) the hands-on event; and 3) an in-class debrief. Students’ eyes will be opened to the importance of career planning and how to research new and exciting careers.
Junior Achievement has partnered with 100 of our region’s employers, ready to inform students about careers and jobs at their companies during the event. At JA JobSpark, students will engage with local business volunteers and participate in hands-on activities, often using actual equipment or tools their employees use on the job. The students learn what certain jobs entail and begin to imagine their futures in the context of these career opportunities.
