JA Our Region is a Junior Achievement® learning experience designed for fourth-grade students. It helps them explore how regional differences influence job opportunities, resource use, trade, and consumer choices. Through five engaging, 45-minute sessions, students learn how their decisions impact their local and regional economies. The program emphasizes financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship, and includes hands-on activities, optional digital resources, and extended learning opportunities. It aligns with national and state standards in reading, math, social studies, and career readiness, making it a flexible and impactful classroom experience.
